Thyroxide Binding Globulin is a protein of 55 kDa and pI of 4.0. TBG binds and transports T3 and T4. It is used to control levels of T3/T4 uptake in serum. T3/T4 uptake is an important measure of thyroid function or thyroid associated diseases.
